“Fresh eyes”, Alan Sugar and Black Friday offer

I was watching The Apprentice the other day, and the contestants needed to design a marketing campaign for a budget airline. Lord Sugar slated the ‘Jet Pop’ brand in the boardroom, and said that it was awful and the contestants needed to look at it with ‘fresh eyes’.
What he meant, of course, is that they needed to take a step back, forget any preconceptions or loyalties they have with the project, and look at it as if they were a consumer. He was, of course, right, it was awful.
The same is true with websites in that business owners get too tied up in what they want to show their customers, rather than what their customers want or need to see. Crucially a business owner is very rarely a typical customer of their own business.
It is usually a great idea for a business owner to take a step back, put themselves in their customers’ shoes, and look at their website and marketing with ‘fresh eyes’. But this is easier said than done.
This is where we come in, if you send us your website, branding or marketing details we will have a look at what you have and reply with some thoughts.
No charge, no pushy sales, no strings attached – Happy Black Friday!
